Mechanical Sealed Pumps - horizontal centrifugal

The impeller is directly connected to the driven shaft from the motor.  The shaft of the pump exits the rear of the pump and are sealed with a mechanical seal.  The seals is two highly polished surfaces - one rotating with the impeller - the other is stationary with the pump.  They are lubricated by the product being pumped or by a external water flush.

Mechanical sealed pumps have advantages

  • the motor torque is direct to the impeller
  • the shaft is solidly supported to allow for clearances required for abrasive liquids
  • the ability to deal with a high concentration of solids in solution
  • a wide variety of seal combinations to deal with most all applications
  • mechanical seals offers the pump designer greater flexibility to design special purpose pumps

Polypropylene horizontal centrifugal pumps are designed for semi-corrosive applications.
1/2 HP to 2 HP. 
The volute design offer high efficiency and hydraulic balance for the impeller.  Pressure to 75 feet.  Mechanical seal is carbon vs. ceramic with EPDM or Viton® elastomer.  The seal configuration is inside mounted. HOM Series pump are mounted on a 56JP motor -- this would allow motor being furnished by local sources.  All units are supplied with a TEFC motor as standard. 3 HP to 7 1/2 HP. 
The volute design offer high efficiency and hydraulic balance for the impeller.  Pressure to 146 feet.  Mechanical seal is carbon vs. ceramic (optional carbon vs.silicon carbide) with EPDM or Viton® elastomer.  The seal configuration can be outside mounted (standard) or double water flushed (requires 3 - 5 GPH water).  HN Series pump are mounted on a 184JP motor -- this would allow motor being furnished by local sources.  All units are supplied with a TEFC motor as standard.       Details

Polypropylene or PVDF construction pumps provide reliable service for high volume transfer or re-circulation of corrosive liquids. The thermoplastic resins use a fill material of glass or carbon for additional strength and wear resistance. Mechanical seal options allow for difficult solution applications – these types of options are not normally available with thermoplastic pumps. The pump can be supplied direct mounted to a TEFC motor – Motor options included "Chem Duty" and "Explosion Proof"  Details

CPVC multi-stage horizontal diffuser pump is designed for high-pressure applications where a metallic pump is unacceptable. Create pressures comparable to pumps with impellers 2 or 3 times their diameter size. with less disk friction loss. 316SS or optional titanium shaft allowing for temperatures to 200 F.
