Polypropylene and PVDF construction

Little Giant pumps are designed corrosive fluid transfer applications.  Seal-less design using plastic encased impeller magnets and a plastic rear housing barrier isolating the fluid within the pump.   Magnet coupling provides a clutch to eliminate motor burnout and overload under adverse conditions.  The motor drive magnet is dynamically balanced to assure long motor bearing live.

MD Series
- Pumps for mild corrosive chemicals design with uncoated barium ferrite driven impeller magnet, glass filled polypro head / impeller and Nitrile o-ring cover seal.  Most use titanium shaft and thrust washers.  Fluid temperature up to 150 F.  Details for models 1/200 to 1/8 HP.

SC Series
- Pumps for semi corrosive chemicals designed with encapsulated driven impeller magnet, glass filled polypro head / impeller and Nitrile o-ring cover seal. Shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina ceramic.   Fluid temperature up to 150 F.  Details for models 1/35 to 1/8 HP.

HC Series
- Pumps for high corrosive chemicals designed with encapsulated driven impeller magnet, glass filled RytonŽ head / impeller and VitonŽ o-ring cover seal. Shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina ceramic.   Carbon impeller bushing design offers low friction that allows the pumps to run dry without damage.   Fluid temperature up to 200 F.  Details for models 1/3 to 3/4 HP.

CK Series
- Pumps for high corrosive chemicals designed with encapsulated driven impeller magnet, carbon filled KynarŽ head / impeller and VitonŽ o-ring cover seal. Shaft and thrust washers are 99.5% pure alumina ceramic.   Carbon filled Teflon impeller bushing design offers low friction and corrosion resistance and abrasive resistance for long life.  Fluid temperature up to 200 F.  Details for models 1/3 to 3/4 HP.
Motors for pumps - Motors for all units are standard with a Open Fan Cooled.  For motors 1/8 HP and larger, they may be upgraded to a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TE or TEFC).  The pump model number will start with the letters TE when this motor is used.  TE motors are recommended for applications when the fumes of the liquid could cause damage to the motor.   Explosion Proof (EP) motors are available for the 3/4HP pump when required.
